— MARGARET DURNAN
As a chiropractor, Dr Margaret Durnan works hard to provide high-quality evidence-based management of musculoskeletal problems as well as advice for healthy living. She approaches rehabilitation through a holistic approach involving nutrition and lifestyle changes, endeavouring to 'walk the talk' and utilise tools from all aspects of manual therapy in a 'generalist' approach to facilitating movement of the body at a structural and physiological level to uncover 'How' and 'Why'. She examines structure and biomechanics of the body applying principles and techniques from her mentor and ultimate Chiropractic teacher, Professor Brian Nook.
Margaret has studied with many world class manual therapists, sports Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Yogis and holistic practitioners but in her search for quality teachers, she has become a Mentorship student of the Ido Portal method. She has found her training with the method to be game changing in her Chiropractic approach ...as well as life changing on a physical and personal level.
In addition to her double Bachelor degrees in Applied Science and Chiropractic, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Chiropractic and is mid way through her Masters in International Public Health through the University of Sydney. She has worked as a supervising clinician for Murdoch university's final year Chiropractic students and engages in educational public speaking and motivational speeches to classrooms and corporate settings. She loves a good soap box to rant from.
She is a co-Director of Perth's premiere Movement facility, Modus Movement, dedicated to teaching knowledge gleaned from years as a student of Ido Portal. Margaret will always give you her honest opinion. Sometimes it's served with jalepenos and pepper spray but her no bull**** approach is only for the best, softened with genuine care and utmost prioirisation of your health.
Consultations are intended to change the trajectory of your approach and perspective on your movement capability and empower you to be self aware. Techniques will vary each session involving focus on, muscle, fascia, joints, breath in order to get the job done.
At all times treatment is under YOUR autonomy.
